World Healing Day at

Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths, Glenwood, NM

Every year people around the world meditate to heal themselves, each other & the world. Many walk a labyrinth. The time set is 12 noon GMT. In New Mexico this is 5 o’clock in the morning of 31st December.

Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths will be open all day from 4.30 am for everyone who would like to participate in this international day of healing & walk one or all six of our labyrinths. If you would like to come in time for the 5am group walk of Pima labyrinth, bring a flashlight and dress warmly. Labyrinth and path will be lit with fairy lights so that you can see your own and others’ feet walking the path. Coffee, tea and apple cake will be served after the 5am walk.

Admission: Free. Or a donation towards labyrinths’ upkeep.

Directions to 355 Bursum Road: Between Glenwood & Alma turn east off Hwy180 onto Rt.159 aka Bursum Road towards Mogollon. Stay on the paved road, go up the winding road and go past mile marker 3. We are the last house on the left on Whitewater Mesa with a labyrinth hanging over the gate.

We are proud of our  piece of heaven.  We welcome visitors with open arms and warm hospitality.  Our community provides many of  the amenities that you may require, and we are just 65 miles  from Silver City and 38 miles south of Reserve.  We have restaurants, lodging, campgrounds, shopping, galleries, a convenience store with:  gas station,  propane tank exchange, groceries, etc.; cell phone service, places to see and things to do.
The Hummingbirds migrate to the area sometimes as early as March.  We enjoy watching 6 different species swooping and swarming  at the feeders.
The Black and Turkey Vultures migrate to Glenwood  on St. Patrick's Day and leave the first week in October.
For those who would  like to leave the 'world' behind and relax in the beauty of New Mexico, what better place  than the communities of Glenwood, Pleasanton, Alma and Mogollon. The Gila National Forest surrounds our area, the San Francisco River flows through town and Whitewater and Mineral Creeks cascade from the east. The first Dark Sky Sanctuary in North America is 10 miles N of  Alma.
