Visit Mogllon Mining Ghost Town

Please visit the Cosmic Campground, located just 14 miles north of Glenwood. It has the distinction of being the first Dark Sky Sanctuary in North America

There are petroglyphs, caves, hot springs, hiking trails, wildlife, fishing and much more.

  The Greater  Glenwood Area is home to Ranchers, Musicians, Conservationists, Authors, Biologists, Teachers, Glenwood Yoga   Retirees, Artists, Organic Farmers, a Massage Therapist and Business Owners. This is a wonderful community with many talented and creative people.
   There are places to eat, places to shop, places to sleep. The  convenience store is open daily.  We have a Senior Center;  Community Complex (Library, WiFi, Clinic, Community Center, Playground,  and gardens). The Community Park has horseshoe pits, ball diamond, pavilion, playground, arena, lots of parking and picnic tables.
   Also home to The Super Salve Company, Udder Delight, Angelwings Home Care LLC and New Mexico State Fish Hatchery. We  have galleries that represent the many local artisans, the Saturday Street Market/Visitors Center, hot springs, labyrinths, hiking, ghost towns and camping spots .

We are a remote community with many amenities including a tavern in the middle of town and  restaurants that serve fabulous food. In addition there are many places to stay in the Greater Glenwood area, several  provide grills for cooking and some have full kitchens.

The Alma Store is  open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.;  they offer groceries, ice, soft drinks, household items, diesel and unleaded fuel, propane exchange, video rentals, gifts, ice cream, candy, pet food,  weekly specials, ATM and more.
